Well, I’m sure glad this person knows what’s going on, at least … you know, so that someone does. ‘Cause I’m still lost … hopefully it’ll make sense soon, right eh? Beautiful artwork, the scenes are done so as to be quite suspenseful! Loving it!
The artwork is gorgeous in this comic and I’m interested in the story (not sure what’s going on yet, but that’s not a negative). However, I had to read this page three or four times before I figured out what was going on. Why the limited use of tails on the speech bubbles? To me speech bubbles without tails implies that someone off-screen is speaking, which makes this really confusing.
Thanks for the kind words on the art. “Hopeless” is hybrid manga. (owing some in format and style to both comics and manga) In manga there are frequently no tails on speech bubbles. I’ve added tails in panels where I think there is potential for confusion. In the most recent instance of off panel speech i’ve added a tall trailing off panel from outside.
